Preschool: Blueberry Patch

Welcome to the Blueberry Patch!  Your teachers are Ms. Sheryl and Ms. Bev.  We have an excellent program planned for your child including many hands-on activities that support large and small motor development, literacy, science,  social skills and, of course, opportunities to form many friendships!  The following is information that will be helpful during the school year. 

The Blueberry Patch follows a traditional school year calendar.  When Lake Orion Schools are closed for holidays, snow days, etc. our program will also be closed.  We will indicate scheduled days off on our white board located outside our classroom as well as in e-mails home. 

Every child will need to bring to school each day a backpack that should contain a complete change of clothes.  Please do not send your child in clothing that is too special to be worn for messy activities.  We will try our best to keep your child’s clothes clean, but we do participate in messy activities (because they are so much fun and also a great sensory experience!). 

We will provide a snack each day.  If your child is celebrating a birthday or other special event and would like to bring a special snack in, please try to give us advance notice so that we may be certain the snack does not contain ingredients that our students may be allergic to.  All outside food must be cleared in advance with our Food Service Director, Ms. Val.  It is also very important that you inform our staff of any allergies your child may have.

The first day of school will be a one hour orientation for parents and children

Orientation dates are as follows:

Mon/Wed/Fri A.M. Class–Tuesday, September 8th at 8:45am

Tues/Thurs A.M. Class– Wednesday, September 9th at 8:45 am
