WELCOME to cool kids down under
The Cook Kids Down Under teachers are excited for you to join us in the Kindergarten classroom! Providing creative activities for the Kindergarten students will help them grow socially and emotionally to prepare them for the 1st grade. During the day we will be running, exercising, climbing, sliding, discovering, and building. We invite you to come learn with us and play with us outside on our playscape, basketball court, bike path, sand box, or play many sports on our large field area.
Pee Wee Patch’s Kindergarten program has much more to offer than just a motivating and interesting atmosphere! Math, Science, Literacy, and Dramatic Play activities are student indicated teacher directed activities that your child will be participating in throughout their day. Kindergarteners will participate in many different activities while rotating from classrooms such as the Art and Science Room, Game Room, Snack Room, or Library.
Before and after school students follow a schedule according to when the buses pick up in the morning and drop off in the afternoon. For parents, when you drop your child off in the morning, the Kindergarten Room will be opened for breakfast. If your child will be eating breakfast here before school, please make a note of the bus pick up times and make sure to arrive early enough so that your child will have time to eat breakfast!
When students are dropped off in the afternoon by the buses, time will be set aside for homework, as well as time for snack and outside time along with different activities. At the end of the afternoon we will either be inside or on the playground. There will be a sign posted on the door leading to the lower level stating if we are outside. Parents, if we are outside until 6:30pm we will have students bring their backpacks and belongings with them. If we are outside when you come to pick up your child, please come to the lower level, sign your child out, pick up their belongings and continue walking through the hallway and use the back staircase that will lead you to our playground.
